We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate **Archives Specialist** to join our team for a special and unique project. This role will be a key part of our initiative to preserve, catalog, and manage one of a kind artifacts and materials that are of cultural or historical significance from all the round the world. **This is a temporary job, 6-month contract in Atlanta- Georgia** **Pay Rate: 25$/hour** **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Working with the customer’s archival object collection + Delicate handling and cleaning of such archival objects. + Catalog and/or create metadata at the item level for objects per customer’s specifications into a database + Ensure that all materials are stored and handled according to best practices in archival preservation **REQUIREMENTS:** + Previous Experience working with archival collections, particularly rare or delicate materials or hold a degree n in Archival Studies, or a related field + Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. + Ability to stand/ walk up to 8 hrs per day If you are passionate about archives, preservation, and history, we would love to hear from you!
