Job DescriptionAs the Area Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all stores in your area while driving profitability. Your primary responsibilities will include setting and analyzing financial goals, as well as planning and forecasting sales figures and expenses. You will collaborate closely with the Area Manager to secure long-term success in following area: Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malayisa, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand.
This position is based in our Hong Kong office and offers a local contract.
What you will do:
Collaborate with the Area Manager and Store Managers to develop annual and quarterly sales budgets using historical data, known events, and industry benchmarks.Analyze and benchmark weekly and daily sales plans and results for each store to ensure targets are met.Collaborate with the HR team to optimize staffing and contract levels, ensuring adequate coverage to meet business needs while controlling costs.Utilize selling reports, budgets, and other analytical tools to make informed decisions regarding inventory allocations and stock levels.Partner with Merchandisers to optimize stock levels in stores, influencing maximum values, promotions, and concept strategies by identifying business opportunities alongside the Area Manager.Conduct monthly reviews of all variable costs and investigate any irregularities to maintain budgetary compliance.Ensure that each store adheres to operational routines, including delivery, replenishment, and cash handling procedures.Collaborate with Store Managers and the Cash Office Responsible to coordinate annual inventories effectively.Train and develop store teams in staff planning, profit and loss management, and scheduling best practices.Create the Stores' and Area's budget while determining KPIs aligned with regional strategy.Generate comprehensive reports on sales figures at daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly intervals to monitor business development and recommend necessary actions.QualificationsAlignment to our company values is the most important characteristic we look for in all new joiners. What you need to succeed
Proven experience in financial management or controlling within a retail environment.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members at all levels.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and .A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to motivate and develop teams.Fluent in English both written and verbalSales-driven and result-oriented mindset.Fashion awareness to align with industry trends.Ability to use initiative and work effectively as part of a teamAdditional InformationThis is a full time permanent contract based at our Area Office in Hong Kong.
