Responsibilities: Day to day delivery of mechanical engineering support for site operations. Deliver safe and effective operations by managing risks, addressing queries and minor modifications activities. Collaborates with central engineering team to identify and define engineering solutions to reduce risk and grow installed production capacity. Promotes a culture of open safety reporting and continuous improvement. Provides immediate front line support for operations and maintenance teams to resolve minor issues and escalate more significant issues to the central engineering team. Ensures asset mechanical engineering risks (both static and rotating) are understood, controlled, managed and reduced. Participates in a variety of asset and project risk assessments. Input into anomaly assessment and resolution plans. Monitors condition monitoring data and health of static and rotating equipment and associated operating envelopes, recording and investigating all safe operating limit excursions. Monitors static/rotating equipment KPIs and initiates corrective actions as necessary. Provides mechanical support to technical MoCs and engineering queries. Acts as technical interface with projects and modifications organisation, including development of statement of requirements (SOR) and project initiation requests (PIRs) and decision support packages (DSP). Supports delivery of production efficiency improvement and defect elimination processes (including simple investigations for deferrals and vulnerabilities). Identifies production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities to support production forecast and grow IPC. Performs follow-up actions and observations from self-verification checks that are related to mechanical engineering. Participates in start up readiness and assurance reviews. Provides coaching to junior engineers. Experience, qualifications & key skills Above 8 years experience in O&G industry (preferable with IOC's direct or contract). Professional (chartered) engineer preferred. Technical degree in mechanical engineering or allied engineering subject. Experience in previous asset engineering / operations support engineering role. Practical exposure to production facilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills. Strong bias for being proactive and getting results. Excellent IT skills - office suite, document management, applications for CMMS and change management. Skilled in behavior change management. Preferred qualifications: Certified professional engineer.
