Location: Remote
Travel: Up to 50% to Indianapolis, IN 46225
Pay Rate: $110,000-130,000 yearly (based on 2080 hours)

*This role can be performed virtually through 2024/2025, with periodic site (Indiana) visits. Starting January 2026, expect presence to increase. Starting in 2027 and through completion of the project, a full-time presence will be required*
Overview:
We are looking for a Project Area Lead to oversee the control system solutions for specific areas within a pharmaceutical automation project. This role involves ensuring the automation solutions are aligned with the program's overall philosophy, standards, and user requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee process automation software development and work closely with system integrators to develop functional specifications.
* Ensure the consistency of automation deliverables such as functional specifications, control strategies, phases, and recipes.
* Participate in P&ID and control strategy reviews.
* Define and modify DeltaV software components as needed.
* Communicate progress, issues, and project needs to the Project Technical Lead.
* Support the creation of Parameter and Recipe Specification documents.
* Respond to system integrator technical queries and support software testing execution.
* Witness and verify system integrator Software Factory Acceptance Tests.
* Identify and analyze risks, plan responses, and track project issues.
* Maintain compliance with training and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
* Bachelor"s in Engineering or equivalent experience.
* 8+ years of experience in Automation within the Pharmaceutical Industry, preferably in API/bulk manufacturing.
* Experience in Pharmaceutical Automation Projects including deriving S88 physical models and software control strategies.
* DeltaV DCS implementation experience.
* Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory standards, and computer system validation principles.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
