Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Manager to join our team in Staunton, United States. As an Area Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing operations, driving growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction across multiple locations within your assigned territory.

Provide strategic leadership and implement core values to achieve the company's mission and goalsManage and develop a team of 3-5 direct supervisors and oversee a staff of 75-150 field employees across a large service areaEnsure safety compliance with company, local, state, and federal regulationsOversee and optimize P&L, fleet management, equipment inventory, and customer interactionsDevelop and execute business plans to drive growth and improve operational efficiencyImplement and maintain safe work practices to protect employees, customers, and company assetsCollaborate with Human Resources to develop effective recruiting and hiring strategiesConduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to team membersAnalyze data and generate reports to forecast workforce needs and track project performanceResolve customer service issues promptly and efficiently, maintaining high levels of customer satisfactionParticipate in safety committee meetings and facilitate ongoing training programsManage daily employee issues including payroll, scheduling, and benefits administrationIdentify and pursue new business opportunities within the service areaTravel to various locations within the territory as needed (may include overnight stays)

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred5-10 years of management experience in a similar industry or roleProven track record of successful P&L management and business growthStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbalProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with CRM systemsAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExperience in strategic planning and implementing process improvements (Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge is a plus)Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the industryAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needsCustomer-focused approach with experience in building and maintaining strong client relationshipsValid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territoryKnowledge of work zone setup/design and professional flagging is highly desirableFamiliarity with collective bargaining agreements is a plus
