Area Manager

Position we are hiring for: Area Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: In person

The Area Manager is primarily responsible for directing, production, distribution, and operations for branch service centers in assigned territory. Responsible for performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Core Duties:

Manage 3 Service Center Managers who supervise 6-9 employees in the VIOC service centers. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these unites.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable lawsResponsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problemsDevelops plans for efficient use of materials, machines and employeesCoordinates production, distribution, warehousing and sales in accordance with established policies, principles and proceduresReview timesheetsReviews production cost and product qualityModifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division

Desired Skills/ Experience:

Experience as an Area Manager and/or Service Center Manager at a Valvoline Instant Oil Change location preferredCollege degree preferredDeveloped competencies such as analytical, project management, problem solving, customer service, training, delegation, interpersonal skills and leadershipAt least one year management experienceAt least three years customer service experience
