Area Manager Job Details Level Experienced Job Location Cleveland Division - Willoughby, OH Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Job Shift 1st Shift Description ​​​​Lead all scheduling and training of CC 17 Airfoil Brazing programs. Monitor all team member performance via production rates, rejects, and other pertinent information necessary for a repeatable, successful brazing process. Coordinate braze schedule and product, as received. Assist and train in all braze operations. Communicate with Production Manager and Production Scheduler on daily scheduling to ensure best possible turnaround for customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + ​​Monitor in-house product, incoming material, and customer needs. Set the production and labor schedule for CC17 to ensure the department meets on-time delivery and customer expectations. + ​Analyze key information related to department Productivity, Quality, and Customer Service. + ​Implement corrective plans addressing any under performance in the department. + ​Proactively analyze workflow in the department and lead changes to improve profitability, productivity, quality and on-time delivery. + ​Maintain production logs and inspection records. + ​Determine appropriate staffing levels for the department. Work to interview, hire, and on-board team members. + ​Work with department Supervisor to ensure that team members are progressing through training periods. Ensure training is documented. + ​Ensure training techniques are driving team members to quickly develop competence and improved productivity. + ​Lead Daily meetings across all shifts ensuring that performance is effectively communicated to the team and that expectations are clear. + ​Monitor inspection results. Relay statistics to the department. Implement improvements plans addressing any quality issues. + ​Champion systems to capture non-conforming product. Communicate with customers, team members, and the management team to disposition product, as appropriate. + ​Effectively communicate with the customers to ensure their inquiries are addressed in a timely and accurate manner. + ​Manage Safety items related to the department. Ensure completion and comprehension of Safety trainings. Facilitate training and education in proactively identifying job-related hazards. + ​Lead efforts to coach and counsel team member. Appropriately document team member related matters. + ​Ensure that inventory is well-managed. Submit purchase requisitions or request customer owned inventory to ensure there are no interruptions to production.​ Qualifications Knowledge: + Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. + College education preferred. + Two or more years of experience in a similar or related position. + Prefer knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing. + Position may require traveling for customer visits and training. License(s)/Certification(s) Required: + Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record in compliance with Paulo’s Vehicle Use Policy.
