Area Manager (East)

About the role

The Area Manager (East) – Wamarra E&I plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our internal construction teams as they deliver key projects for the Wamarra E&I project. This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction teams while collaborating with the design team to facilitate effective planning and project delivery. The Area Manager will report directly to the Wamarra E&I Operations Manager.

What you’ll be doing:

Supervising, coordinating and planning tasks for the internal workforce aligned with the project scopes Coordinating internal staff to assist the design team to deliver CSF, BES & Telepower designs Assist with DNSP applications and coordinating truck appointments Assisting the internal construction team to deliver a program of works Quality assurance inspections and checks Overseeing logistics for material procurement Project pre-delivery audits and inspections Progress reporting
 

About you:

Minimum 3 years telco experience – knowledge of Telepower, electrical, generators, CSF & BES    Driver License Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills Available to travel to regional areas for projects   Competent in Microsoft office suites   Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong adherence to safety, environmental and quality requirements  
 

The following qualifications are not essential but will be highly regarded in the selection process:

Electrical Licence White Card training RPAS / Drone experience Emergency First Aid / CPR Low voltage Release and Rescue Working at heights Elevated work platform license Forklift High risk license
