Area Operations Manager

This position will have operational oversight of the following states: North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The ideal candidate must reside in one of these states.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations across assigned region, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and service standards. Team Leadership: Supervise and support sonographers, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture. Field Support: Perform ultrasound exams at least two (2) days per week to maintain clinical skills and support team integration. Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including exam volumes, quality metrics, and patient satisfaction. Resource Management: Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and coverage. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and internal policies. Collaboration: Work closely with clinical, administrative, and executive teams to support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement. Training & Development: Identify training needs and support professional development of team membersREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Certification: Current ARDMS or equivalent ultrasound certification required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical ultrasound experience. At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare or imaging services environment. Proven experience managing multi-site operations is strongly preferred. Technical & Clinical Skills: Proficiency in performing a wide range of ultrasound exams. Strong understanding of clinical protocols, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Familiarity with ultrasound equipment, PACS, and EMR systems. Leadership & Operational Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams across multiple locations. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively. Experience in workforce planning, performance management, and staff development. Analytical & Communication Skills: Ability to analyze operational data and implement process improvements. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and executive leadership. Other Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned region Commitment to spending two days per week performing clinical scanning in the field. Valid driver’s licenseBENEFITS:
