Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an Area Operations Manager for our Florida Panhandle and Alabama market. This position will be based out of our Santa Rosa location.

This position will provide daily purpose, focus and direction for their area operations team. The role will partner with the Area Leadership Team, Branch Managers, Sales Center Leaders and Warehouse Management teams to ensure the accurate execution of business processes to deliver goods and services to their area as efficiently as possible, to increase profits while ensuring safety and world-class customer service every time.

Position DetailsReports to General ManagerArea Details: 8 branches, 75 associates and direct oversight of 5 associates

ResponsibilitiesImplements operational efficiency improvements which may include, but are not limited to, standardization of systems, quality control, safety, site selection, facility design, and customer satisfactionLeads the internal audit process to ensure compliance with organizational standardsIdentify and implement process improvements based on experience and findingsDevelop and recommend specific courses of action based on analysis of special requests for management or internally generated opportunitiesMaintain the safety and security of the Branch in accordance with OSHA standards and make sure all policies, rules, regulations and procedures set by the organizationLead associates, implement processes, and policies of the organization in order to profitably maintain and grow market share, sustain customer loyalty, and provide opportunities for growthSupervise the facilities to provide a safe and well-maintained work environmentIdentify new opportunities for cost savingsFacilitate and develop SOP's for the organizationSupports the Key Leadership Team by working in the same facility/vicinity to foster in person communication

Qualifications10 years proven experience in a related field is preferredApplies in-depth sophisticated knowledge and skills of a specific/niche technical area with understanding of external environment factors that may affect own specialist areaProvides expert advice, mentors and counselsProficient in Excel and other Microsoft O365 applicationsInventory and logistics software system experience is preferred

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
