Area Payroll Manager, East & Southern Europe
Job Description

Are you enthusiastic about process streamlining and system architecture? Do you know how to handle transitions into a shared services set-up? And are you a dedicated people leader? If so, you might be a perfect fit for our new position as Area Payroll Manager.

 

We have just implemented a new HR delivery model in Danfoss. This means you will be joining a new HR Services organization with a strong pioneering spirit and an ambition to deliver state of the art HR services to our business. You will lead a team of 14 Payroll Professionals spread across Eastern & Southern Europe. You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll and time deliveries, process optimization, implementation of standard procedures and transition of new countries into our shared services set-up.

You will be working closely with stakeholders across different functions, so you know how to build strong relations and understand the value of collaboration to create success stories. As part of the EMEA payroll leadership team, you will be part of shaping the future of our payroll set-up. In this position you will report to the Head of Payroll, EMEA. 

 

It's a hybrid position where you can work from one of our offices located in Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czechia or Hungary or you can work remotely in one of these countries.

Job Responsibilities

In your daily job you will:

play a key role on a big transformation journey where we are streamlining our system landscape, reorganizing our payroll set-up, and changing our HR delivery model lead the payroll team by role modelling our company values and by focusing on employee development and well-being bee overall responsible for all end-to-end payroll, time and benefit deliveries manage country payroll & time projects aimed at harmonizing processes and systems within EMEA collaborate with Finance, IT and external vendors on system design, improvements, and integrations manage audits and compliance reviews drive continuous streamlining of operations ensure documentation and back-up systems are in place. Background & Skills

 

We imagine that you:

hold a relevant bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, accounting or human resources (or have equivalent work experience) have a minimum of five years’ experience within payroll come from an international payroll setting where you have managed big projects related to payroll and system landscapes have demonstrated experience with leading people and streamlining processes.

 

Additionally, we are looking for:

a team player mentality a quality driven approach a structured, persistent, and pragmatic mindset  strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills  an ability to navigate in high complexity areas excellent communication skills someone who speaks English fluently.
