Our Grid Simulation software portfolio is one of the cornerstones of the Grid Software Business Unit, and of the entire power industry.  Utilities use our Grid Simulation PSS® portfolio to design, model, simulate, and analyze power grids at every voltage level from Transmission to Distribution.

We currently have a unique opportunity for a vibrant Area Sales Director to join a group of innovative and future thinking people, with a passion for growing software sales in SE Asia and Australia.

We are seeking an Area Sales Director (ASD) who will be the sales entrepreneur for the Grid Simulation Software portfolio in SE Asia and Australia.  The primary metric for success in this position is software revenue. 

Some of the highlights of this role that will contribute to achieving yearly sales targets & overall success include:

Leading and supporting sellers in the development and execution of g2m / growth initiatives, sales strategies, and account plans.Owning and managing the sales book of business for assigned regions.Coaching and providing thought leadership to the sales team on key/large deals as well as on other strategic/organizational topics.Building / maintaining a team around a positive culture of performance. Acting as the interface / single point of contact between assigned regions and HQ.  Managing soft hand-offs across various functions on the team.Building and maintaining positive relationships with director/VP level at major accounts throughout the regionAchieving strategic alignment between region and HQ on sales priorities, growth, and culture.Driving the launch / roll-out of new offerings in assigned regions.Identifying and spreading global best practices across regional sales teams.Supporting assigned regions in the development of business cases for sales-related investment requests.Provides Global Head of Software Sales with weekly updates on regional forecast, funnel, initiatives, and key opportunities.

You will work in the headquarters of a global organization which consists of sales offices in over 30 regions, as well as resellers in several verticals and geographies.  This role reports directly to the Global Head of Sales for the Grid Simulation business.   

Who Are You / What Do You Bring / What Skills Will Help You Succeed

Extensive experience (10+ years) selling software, ideally to utility customersExperience with MEDDICC and/or Challenger sellingDemonstrated ability to manage, analyze, and win complex bidsYou are an owner - you take responsibility for any issue relating to your businessAbility to communicate with all levels of an organization including director/VP and C-SuiteAbility to create, own and manage sales campaignsProven track record of account management, including accurate sales forecasting, sales process management, and successful attainment of quota across multiple product linesDemonstrated negotiating skills, conflict management, and sense of accountabilityAbility to strategize and creatively solve problems to overcome customer challengesHave a Bachelors Degree in Science or BusinessFluent in English – Multiple languages would be very beneficial.
