Area Sales Manager - China South Travel Retail
Global Travel Retail is a strategic channel that follows our consumers whenever and wherever they travel. You will report and work closely with the China Area Sales Manager and is responsible for all aspects of territory management and field force deployment in assigned markets (where applicable). You shall establish very close links with Duty Free Operators & Key Accounts with the objective to achieve best in class trade partnership. You will play an active role in the implementation of consumer & trade programs and monitor implementation KPIs, and competitive activities. You will develop and implement account plans including Annual & Strategic plans, agreements and monitor account compliance checks. You will provide trainings to Retail Sales Consultant with support of Marketing Team and RSC SPOC to achieve best in class consumer activation. You will liaise and work very closely with the marketing and finance teams and you'll be responsible for achieving Business Goals as established your performance appraisal.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be:
Accountable & Responsible for market/area P&L targets achievement. Responsible for ASP plans development and alignment for the assigned territory. Establishing the rolling forecast, LE input. In conjunction with other functions responsible for the assigned territory not limiting to marketing budget planning, spending, phasing/savings management and optimizing investment. Responsible for direct interface and relationship management with customers, trade and respective markets for optimal, strategic alignment. Ensuring documents flow (contracts, invoices etc.) and sales integrity procedures (LMD, KYC etc.) compliance for the assigned territory Responsible for effective implementation of sales, distribution, through-the-line marketing strategies including merchandising, shelf-space, and promotional programs. Monitors progress, as well as the quality of materials used and recommends corrective action where necessary. Responsible for executional KPI monitoring and reporting results to China Area Sales Manager, including sales volume, pricing, stock management and brand listings. Responsible for territory management, field force deployment decisions as well as coaching, developing and motivating outsourced personnel (where applicable). Responsible for field intelligence and data gathering through sales force automation tool provided (TME).
Requirements:
5 years experience in sales & distribution/channel management/field trade marketing. Experience in consumer/trade promotions management. Preferably within FMCG/Travel Retail industry with Key Account Management experience. Cross cultural & cross functional experience is an advantage. Fluent English & Mandarin University degree or equivalent Computer literate: Microsoft Office Experience/Knowledge in the following: Territory and Field Force Planning and Management Key Account Management Consumer Activation Trade Research, Trade Segmentation Logistics and Order Management Shelf Space Management Merchandizing Management Category Management Distributor Management Total pricing and trade margins management Field Intelligence and Data Gathering KPI Monitoring / Reporting Negotiation Skills, Analysis & Problem Solving Process/Project Management External Environment Knowledge (taxation, trade pricing, corporate affairs, legal) Customer Service
