For our Netherlands region we are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager for our major and mid-sized accounts in the healthcare domain. Fresenius Medical Care is the world’s leading provider of products and services for people with chronic kidney failure. We have the products, ability and know-how to help patients and hospitals in the full end-to-end process of kidney disease. Our organization is in full swing and as our Area Sales Manager you have the opportunity to help us further professionalize our Sales department.   

What this role entails  

As the Area Sales Manager, you take care of your accounts in (a part of) the Netherlands and build strong relationships. Fresenius is known for its reliable and high-quality products. With your enthusiasm and ‘role up your sleeves’ attitude you open (new) doors within our major and mid-sized accounts (hospitals mainly). You deal with different decision makers and influencers on all levels, such as; procurement, doctors, nurses and biotechnicals. You nurture and grow relationships, identify sales opportunities with existing customers and explore opportunities at new prospects. You run account management, provide insights on market intelligence, and help sell our solutions to customers.   

You are part of the Sales team and work as the customer champion in cross-functional teams to build strong relationships with your customers. Within the team we have other Area Sales Managers in NL and Sales Application Specialists. In this position you report to the Business Unit Manager Commercial BeNeLux.

What we are looking for  

We are looking for a colleague who hits the ground running! Who brings experience to the table as a true sales partner, who likes to build and create a broad network within the healthcare domain. A real team player with experience in stakeholder management and (large) contract negotiations.  

And furthermore:  

You are a seasoned sales person with hands-on experience, with experience in the healthcare domain;  

A clear communicator with a customer-focused approach, and a good sense of the human factor in the process;  

Experience with handling large contracts, negotiations and public procurement, and dealing with both procurement departments as well as other stakeholders within hospitals (doctors, nurses, biotechnicals etc..);  

Fluent in Dutch (must) and a good command of the English language.  

You are based in the Netherlands, and your working location can be anywhere as in this job you mainly work from home or on the road. And you’re always welcome in our regional office in Den Bosch (or at our clinics in Amsterdam and Beverwijk).
