Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic planning and execution of regional and global sales initiatives within the assigned area, ensuring both qualitative and quantitative targets are not only met but exceeded. Focused on delivering profitable growth for the Marine Systems business line in the Marine & Ports division, this role leads and develops proactive sales strategies to accelerate business expansion. Committed to high-performance execution, the goal is to surpass sales targets while fostering strong customer relationships and ensuring outstanding satisfaction.The work model for the role is: #LI - OnsiteThis role is contributing to ABB Marine & Ports Division in India & Sri Lanka. You will be mainly accountable for:• Driving sales growth within assigned segments by identifying and capturing new business opportunities.• Developing and nurturing relationships with key customers and decision-makers to strengthen market presence.• Managing sales transactions by coordinating leads, contracts, billings, and orders, ensuring seamless execution.• Conducting market intelligence analysis to identify emerging trends, new segments, and business opportunities.• Leading pricing and contract negotiations, ensuring sales volume, product mix, and margin targets are met.• Monitoring customer financial status and assess potential risks related to contract agreements.• Overseeing bid preparation and ensure proposals align with company procedures, legal requirements, and pricing strategies.• Supporting technical sales efforts by providing solutions, technical presentations, and demonstrations to customers.

Qualifications for the role

More than 8 years of proven sales and tendering experience in the field of marine, offshore & shipbuilding industries Excellent knowledge for electric propulsion system, automation & digitalization for marine or offshore industry Strong sales-oriented personality, with customer centricity mindset Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering Skilled in developing technical concepts and package with system integration with organization product portfolio
