Area Specification Sales Manager operates as a sales consultant/brand ambassador to influence and aide decision makers in the irrigation industry. This includes but is not limited to Irrigation Consultants, Landscape Architects, Public Agency Accounts, Distributors, Contractors and Corporate Account customers within sales region in South America, Central America or Caribbean (LATAM).

 

Addition will support Distributors and identify key Contractors or stakeholders in LATAM to ensure preference for Rain Bird products and subsequent sales.

Responsibilities Establish Rain Bird as the primary irrigation product specified.Establish and implement call strategies that deliver increased specification and sales within the assigned territory through our business model in LATAM.Conduct product demonstration, webinars, fair, seminars and become a product technical expert for the regional team.Develop strong relationships with targeted Irrigation Consultants, Landscape Architects, Landscape Schools and Corporate Accounts at the decision maker level. Develop and implement sales programs designed to grow the territory through specification. Analyze sales results, track projects updated on a regular basis, demonstrate and conduct product trainings. Participation in all relevant events for the purpose of networking and generating opportunities to sell Rain Bird products.Area Specification Manager responsibilities include growing Rain Bird sales faster than the market growth rate, establishing & leading sales & marketing plans, developing and managing channels of distribution and conducting customer training. Develop a strong agenda of travelling to achieve sales and market share objectives. Successful candidate must be self-motivated, creative and have strong communication and selling skills. The Area Specification Manager must be persuasive and easily build rapport. The position requires technical aptitude to learn about irrigation products and applications. Candidate must be able to generate services sales opportunities and assist with management.The successful candidate must have a “hands-on” approach to management, must be a highly motivated individual, and a self-starter who thrives on challenges. High levels of commercial acumen and strategic aptitude will be key to success in this role, as will possessing excellent organization and planning skills, and a keen ability to effectively manage competing priorities. B2C and B2B commercial experience and distribution channel knowledge will be a major advantage. Experience in launching products and services.Proven experience in present in public events, webinar or seminars.Collaborate with SBU’s Marketing staff to improve specification results with current products by defining and executing programs to deliver these results.Obtain market information regarding competitor’s technologies and solutions, potential projects, and other sales related issues Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree or Engineer or other technical degree5+ years progressive work experience in technical sales to include leadership experienceSelf-motivated, team player, results oriented and excellent communication skills required.This position requires that the candidate be fluent in Spanish and English Computer knowledge: including working knowledge of Word & ExcelThis position requires approximately 75% business travel.Strong organizational and time management skillsProven leadership skills
