**Summary** The **Armed Security Officer** will provide security services and supervise the detaintee population in assigned area of the facility; be responsible for the health and welfare of the detainee population and respond to emergent situations. **_This position is contingent upon contract award_** **Responsibilities** + Enforce all detetion center policy rules by remaining vigilant and observant. + Oversee assigned detainees; maintain safety and security by inspecting / searching living areas for cleanliness and contraband. + Conduct detainee searches and apply various types of restraint devices. + Provide escort duties as needed. + Possess the ability to work various shifts including weekends. + Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** + Minimum of one year experience as a law enforcement officer, military police, or one year experience as a security officer engaged in functions related to detaining civil or administrative occupants. + Experience working in a detention facility preferred. + Knowledge of American Correctional Association (ACA) standards. + High school diploma. + Must pass a background investigation and obtain a T4 security clearance. + Current First Aid/CPR certifications. _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_ + Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. + Possess exceptional verbal and written communicative skills Chenega Corporation and family of companies is an EOE.
