The role
As an Armoury Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Armoury Technician is responsible and accountable for all task associated with operating the RAF Boulmer station armoury, range, and associated storage facilities.  You will interact with military personnel with the issue, return and maintenance of weapons.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll provide out of hours armoury support, as well as:

Assist the Armoury Supervisor in the management of Potential Explosion Sites (PES) in accordance with current regulations. Store, issue, and receive Small Arms and Ancillary Equipment in accordance with current regulations. Store, issue, and receive private weapons and non-service weapons in accordance with current regulations. Certify empty ammunition containers and fired cases free from explosives and dispose of in accordance with current regulations.


This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Boulmer.

 

Essential experience of the Armoury Technician:

Experience of Duties of a 25M Range Warden in accordance with current regulations Previous experience of Carrying out physical checks of Small Arms on the occasions laid down in current regulations. Previous experience of Managing, collecting, receiving, and any issuing of store ammunition and pyrotechnic devices and dispose of unusable stores  in accordance with current regulations

 

Qualifications for the Armoury Technician:

Specialist with Small arms and explosives hold RAF Q-W-GDSA or equivalent. Driving License


Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC security clearance for this role.
