Location: Saint Louis, MissouriJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $40 - 43 per hour We are seeking a talented Art Director to help our client create impactful and visually compelling communications across both traditional and digital platforms. This role demands excellent design capabilities and a deep understanding of consumer behavior and user experience. As Art Director, you will ensure that all creative output meets high standards, exercising quality control over design recommendations and executions.Working with a degree of autonomy, you will handle project assignments from concept to completion, demonstrating the ability to understand direction, incorporate feedback, and confidently present your work. You'll collaborate closely with Account Managers, Strategy teams, fellow creatives, and external partners, building positive relationships that drive strong creative outcomes and support the client's brand vision. Responsibilities: Design and execute traditional and digital communications with excellent design capabilities and a complete understanding of the consumer/user. Exercise quality control of design recommendations and executions. Operate with a degree of autonomy by receiving project assignments, completing on time, understanding direction and applying feedback. Credibly represent and present your own work. Collaborate effectively with Account Managers and Strategy team partners, fellow creatives, internal and external teams, clients and vendor partners. Positively influence decisions for the benefit of the creative work and the brand. Qualifications: Bachelors degree with a design emphasis preferred or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience working as an Art Director or similar creative role. Strong Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma skills for both digital and print design. Strong understanding of designing for traditional channels and digital channels, including: social, ecommerce, digital display advertising and retailer digital advertising. Ability to contribute to brainstorming and general problem solving. Strong typography skills. Basic motion design skills, including After Effects, animated GIFs.
