The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
Our simulation development team is looking for a Software Engineer capable of supporting the Customer Avionics Interface Development and Analysis (CAIDA) system. In addition to software development, you will also support design, installation and testing of CAIDA software integrated with the Kennedy Space Center ground and vehicle simulation system. CAIDA is a team within the overall Modeling and Simulation Integrated Product Team (M&S IPT). The M&S IPT's mission is to support NASA's Spaceport Command and Control System (SCCS), used for checkout and launch of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Modeling and Simulation team, candidate will perform as a software engineer in the development of simulation software tools to support a large-scale Command and Control system for both launch and vehicle processing.
Under general supervision, candidate will apply comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of software development in order to complete challenging assignments.

B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field from an accredited college and university, with at least 4 years of relevant, full software life cycle experience.
Additional education may be substituted for relevant experience.

• Climbing ladders and platforms may be necessary.
• All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and company safety
Equipment and Machines
• Computers and printers used for producing reports and schedules.
• Variety of equipment used in testing.
Attendance
• Full-time work hours.
• Position may require occasional overtime, including weekend work, depending on task.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Shift work may be required.
