The DoDIN Enterprise Foundations Department (N241) is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Intern interested in bringing innovative solutions to unique national challenges.  The Enterprise Foundations Department focuses on building an exciting work program which includes: securing our networks & data; modernization of data and communications transport; modernizing DoD’s Command and Control (C2) Communications (C3) systems; Senior Leadership Communications; reimagining the DoD Information Network (DoDIN); and, advancing artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities where it makes sense.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop AI Computer vision models to support test and evaluation of augmented reality technologiesTest, evaluate, validate, and verify AI model performance in support of specific missionsDevelop best practices and procedures for AI assurance of systems incorporating AI models

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a student enrolled full-time in an accredited degree-seeking program in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related degree and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship.Sustained academic excellenceStrong desire to continuously learn about AI assurance and testing, evaluation, validation, and verification (TEVV) of computer models.Understanding of Data Science and/or Computer Science principles, including fundamentals of machine learning and design, implementation, and analyzing data structures.Experience using Python, Java, and SQL to perform analysis and visualization.Experience using Jupiter, Plotly, Pandas, and machine learning libraries.Experience with Linux operating system.ned excellence in academic performance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience having applied data science or artifical intelligence learning to an internship or research/lab positionAbility to present and clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrate an understanding of AI assurance in model testing and evaluationDemonstrated interest in serving the public.
