Physician Billing Self Pay Analyst

Hourly rate: $18-$23

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will possess a high school education or equivalent plus 1-2 years of experience in medical billing or medical claims processing.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Complete daily review of accounts transferred to patients prior to bills generatingResolve patient creditsComplete daily review of patient accounts that are pending NYS Medicaid and/or Charity Care statusComplete monthly rejections categorized as eligibility and/or guarantor responsibilityMaintain daily correspondence and returned mailAnswer incoming Patient/Guarantor phone calls related to statement inquiries for owed balances and receive payments by phoneMaintain current payment plans/contractsWork with corresponding physician offices as it relates to patient disputes and/or inquiriesServices related to Bankruptcy and Collection proceedingsAssist in maintaining coverage for satellite office at the Main Campus for Patient/Department convenience
