UES is looking to add an Asbestos Technician to our Dallas location. In this position, you will be responsible for Building Science assessments (asbestos, indoor air, mold, radon, and lead) for various types of retail, office, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, multifamily, and mixed-use facilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Travel to projects within the DFW Metroplex and surrounding areasComplete and finalize specific project tasks according to deadlines and within budgetProject research (historical, analytical, etc.)Communicate with client and subject site representativesData compilation and organizationReport authoringPreparation of quality supporting documents (site figures, appendices, etc.)Provide on-site project management to complete field testingCreate, prepare, and update project proposals and technical reportsSchedule project testing and other necessary field workPerform tests and sampling of environmental materials including, but not limited to asbestos inspections and air monitoring, lead, radon and mold testing and remediation, PLM, PCM and mold analysesComplete accurate and detailed field-testing reports and/or diagramsFollow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projectsMaintain quality standards on all projectsOther duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredPost secondary education is considered an assetExcellent written (Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio(CAD equivalent)) and verbal communication skills LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS:TDSHS Licensed Asbestos Building Inspector (required).TDSHS Licensed Asbestos Air-Monitoring Technician with NIOSH 582 Equivalency License (strongly preferred).TDSHS Licensed Asbestos Project Manager, Management Planner, and/or Project Designer (preferred).TDLR - Mold Assessment Technician or Consultant License (preferred).TELRR Lead-Based Paint Inspector (preferred).NRPP Radon Measurement Professional Certification (preferred).OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER (preferred).UES is the #1 fastest-growing AEC firm on The Zweig Group’s Hot Firm list in 2021, 2022 & 2023.
