Job Description:At Ascentium Capital, the Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating commercial loan applications for new loan transactions as well as for processing annual loan reviews on existing borrowers.

Primary Responsibilities
Reviews and analyzes credit information in order to make appropriate credit decisions within established policies and regulationsInitiates, completes, and submits accurate credit-related reports and documentation on a timely basis to accordance with established business processes and to assist the origination channels in achieving business goals and objectivesOrders and reviews loan documentation and researches any issues as neededGathers and maintains financial background information on present and prospective customers and develops credit studies for loan officers and committees as neededDevelops, implements, and maintains uniform credit policies and procedures to ensure consistency and enhance external and internal customer satisfactionWorks with the senior executives on all business opportunities and issues related to credit policies and credit decisionsCoordinates communication between the sales team, potential customers, and the review committee on credit, underwriting, and funding related issuesWorks in conjunction with the appropriate managers and executives to support each business unit's performance goals and service standardsWorks with either close supervision or under clearly defined proceduresThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related fieldOne (1) year of experience in commercial/bank underwriting or related experiencePreferences
Experience with Fair Isaac credit modelsExperience in formal bank underwriting trainingSkills and Competencies
