Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Asia Controller with specialized expertise in India entity compliance. The candidate will oversee financial operations across multiple countries in Asia, ensuring compliance with local regulations, with a strong emphasis on managing India-specific entity compliance. This role requires deep knowledge of regional tax laws, financial regulations, and cross-border financial management, as well as a strategic approach to leading finance operations across different countries. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Financial Leadership:Oversee financial management and reporting across multiple countries in Asia, ensuring consistency and compliance with local regulations.Consolidate financial data and present accurate and timely reports to regional and global leadership.India Entity Compliance:Lead and ensure compliance with all India-specific regulatory requirements, including direct and indirect taxation, statutory filings, and secretarial compliances.Work closely with legal and external consultants to navigate entity setup and compliance structure in India.Stay updated on changes in Indian financial regulations and proactively implement necessary adjustments.Financial Reporting & Controls:Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for the region, aligning with both local GAAP and US GAAP.Implement and monitor strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance across all entities.Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews to identify growth opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.

 

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:Manage cross-border taxation issues, transfer pricing, and inter-company transactions in alignment with regional strategies.Ensure adherence to various regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, and other direct and indirect taxes in India and other Asian countries.

 

Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership:Primary liaison between US headquarters, the Company’s international accounting firms and local accountants based upon country time zones, handling all issues and inquiries.Collaborate with senior management and other department heads to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements (Education must be included):   

Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent qualification.12+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years focused on regional financial management and India entity compliance.Proven track record in handling complex financial operations in a multinational environment, particularly in Asia.Deep knowledge of India-specific financial regulations, tax laws, and entity compliance requirements.Proficiency in ERP systems and financial management software.Hands-on, energetic, willing to roll up their sleeves to dig in and find ways to optimize the close, processes and partner/communicate with cross functional collaboration and excellent communication skills.

 

Desired Characteristics & Attributes:

Experience in managing finance across diverse Asian markets, with exposure to different regulatory frameworks.Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive financial performance in complex environments.The team is targeting a leader who can be hands-on, energetic, willing to roll up their sleeves to dig in and find ways to optimize the close, processes and partner/communicate with cross functional leaders.

 

Compensation:

Base pay is one part of SiTime’s Total Rewards Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity-based compensation.
