What You'll Do

This position is an integral part of the Asia-Pacific (AP) Regional Finance Team and works very closely with our regional Specialty Business Units (SBUs), particularly TDA and Platinion business and leadership. The role primarily provides business partnering support to Platinion in the areas of commercial, analysis, decision support, planning, closing review and reporting. It could evolve into further SBU financial support over time.

This position is built around teamwork and meeting customer needs which provides the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders in the AP region. The role teams with the local Finance teams, other regional and cross-functional teams, and the global Finance community. The individual must be a team player and capable of working flexibly, virtually and across different cultures.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Platinion business finance support

Developing and presenting insightful financial analysis for Platinion and regional leadership to support business decisions; both recurring weekly / monthly reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requiredProviding in-depth commercial support to Platinion involved cases, such as, but not limited to evaluating pricing of projects, and its implications on Platinion financials, along with project end-to-end management and keeping track of estimated project position to avoid surprises on any overruns/premium adjustment etcSupporting the plan and estimate processes for the Platinion business covering financial modelling, capacity planning, revenue projections, reporting and functional cost estimates as well as the preparation of related presentationsMonitoring and analysing performance against plan and pro-actively highlighting issues and opportunities for improvements (including but not restricted to revenue, capacity, billability, staffing- and pricing trends)Responsible for the monthly and annual closing of Platinion AP books in coordination with Global Accounting & Control and local offices.

 

Functional Practice Finance Support

Supporting the Planning, analysis and reporting on broader functional areas for the TDA Practice Area in APSupporting the coordination and alignment of Platinion reporting units across BCG with other regions, the global team and TDA Practice Area

 

AP Regional Finance support

Acting as back-up to the other AP Regional Finance team members as requiredSupporting the broader global finance function in its transformation efforts including roll-out of new systems, policies, processes, and initiatives.Providing support to & sharing best practices with local Finance teams as requiredBuilding networks with other regional finance teams, liaising with Global services, Global finance and other Regional Functions as required

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Work experience:

Internal: Significant experience in BCG Finance preferred, with deep knowledge of BCG accounting, planning, commercial and systemsExternal: of around 5-10 years in handling the Finance planning & analysis, commercial & stakeholder management. Experience in service industry and more specifically consulting firms preferredAdvanced computer literacy:Strong knowledge of Oracle Financial Systems, HFM, FIM and BCG’s BIR tool preferred. SAP experience helpfulAt minimum, strong Excel skills required. Affinity with more advanced analytics tools like Tableau & Power BI is a preferenceStrong knowledge of PowerPoint slide writing with familiarity with Thinkcell preferredStrong business sense, working knowledge of BCG commercial process & working knowledge of US GAAP accounting standardsGood analytical skills with an attention to detail and an ability to look at data in different ways while also being able to see the bigger pictureExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to operate effectively in a virtual team and a global environment through establishing positive and productive working relationships (self-motivated, responsive, service oriented)Proven ability to plan work effectively and prioritize work, even in stressful situations
