We are seeking an ASIC Architect for Micron’s ASIC architecture team. You should have solid understanding and experience with many aspects of the SOC design and implementation flow – such as coverage-driven verification, synthesis, P&R, STA, DFT, power-islands, floor-planning, CTS, IR-drop – and an understanding of how architecture decisions impact these flows. You will be responsible for developing, contributing, and leading ASIC macro and micro-architecture activities in our storage-based controllers. You should be highly motivated with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and be quality oriented. Candidates with a take-ownership attitude will succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Leadership: Develop, contribute, and lead ASIC macro and micro-architecture activities for our storage-based controllers.Collaborative Design: Work closely with other ASIC architects, system architects, and FW architects to define and document feature sets and data/control flows for the controller and its component IPs.Technical Guidance: Define requirements for ASIC design, verification, physical implementation, and other teams in the ASIC organizationOptimization: Evaluate trade-offs in area, performance, power, and ease-of-implementation between different solutions.IP Management: Review and configure third-party IPs.Support and Review: Assist other teams within the ASIC organization and review their work. Support product teams with documentation, code reviews, and silicon debug.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance design quality and practices.Daily Activities:
Reviewing product and firmware requirements.Defining and documenting feature sets and data/control flows.Evaluating implementation trade-offs.Supporting and reviewing work from other teams.Engaging in continuous improvement of design practices.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.5+ years of experience in ASIC design.Proficiency in RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog.Extensive knowledge of SOC design, verification, and implementation flows.Experience with low-power design techniques.Proficiency in scripting and Unix shell languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Unix shell scripts).Ability to read and understand software/firmware code.Understanding of CPU and memory architectures, data path pipelining, distributed system design, ASIC low-power implementations, and clock/reset methodologies.Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of PCIe, NVMe, CXL, and/or UFS in storage applications.Experience with hardware modeling languages.ASIC architecture experience in storage products (e.g., SSD, eMMC, UFS, USB).Design/architecture experience with high-speed serial and parallel interfaces (e.g., PCIe, MIPI, DDR, LPDDR, ONFI).Familiarity with automotive design and qualification processes.What Sets You Apart:

$171,000.00 - $357,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
