Your ImpactASIC design role
Develop high-performance designs/ASICs from specification to tape-outDefine architecture/micro-architecture and write specificationsImplement complex RTL designs to meet timing and performance requirementsDefine, evolve, and support design methodologyMentor junior engineers and colleaguesCollaborate with verification, PD, DFT, package, and software teamsPerform diagnostic and post-silicon validation tests in the labWork with hardware and software teams to triage and root cause failuresParticipate in design and code reviewsScope third-party IP requirements and solicit vendorsAnalyze code coverage and provide feedback for coverage closurePerform lint and CDC checksBuild timing constraints for synthesis and STAWork closely with the physical design team to resolve design timing and place-and-route issuesASIC verification roleDevelop test plans, cover points, and qualification testsPerform end-to-end verification of design blocks and top-levelBuild and maintain block, cluster, and top-level DV environment infrastructureConstruct testbenches components like scoreboard, agents, sequencers, and monitorsWrite tests, debug regressions, and drive to module verification closureCollaborate with designers and verification engineers for cross-block verificationUpgrade configuration/reset sequences (APIs)Develop environment and tests for emulationEnsure complete verification coverage through code, functional coverage, and gate-level simulationsSupport post-silicon bring-up and optimize integration and performanceMinimum QualificationsProficient in VerilogHave extensive experience in ASIC front-end designStrong experience with synthesis, timing analysis and power analysisPerl/Python/Makefiles scripting is strongly preferredExperience designing ASICs for networking protocols (Ethernet, FC) is a plusMust be strong at documenting the design specifications, verification plan and presentationsStrong problem-solving and ASIC debugging skillsAbility to debug system-wide issuesMSEE with 2+ or BSEE with 4+ years of related experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience in Data center/ Hyper scaler /AI Networking technologiesProven experience meeting and delivering project milestones and deadlines.Ability to communicate technical concepts to audiences spanning executives to junior engineers to customers.Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting and debugging.Experience with Emulation and Formal Verification tools is a plus.#WeAreCisco#WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.
