About the Opportunity
Join our innovative team to take your expertise at Ericsson and elevate your ASIC verification to the next level. We specialize in the top-level verification of cutting-edge ASICs that power complex, high-performance systems. Our designs hold several hundreds of processor cores, DSPs as well as ARM cores, and many high-speed interfaces, including Ethernet, CPRI, and PCIe, integrated in multi-chip-modules, now often replacing monolithic solutions.
In this role, you'll be part of a team tackling some of the most challenging verification tasks in the industry, ensuring that our ASICs meet our high standards for performance, functionality, and security.
As an ASIC Top-Level Verification Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in verifying complex ASIC designs, monolithic ASICs and multi-chip modules. You will play an important role in GLS, but while waiting for netlists you will also specify and develop software driven tests to be run in CI regressions on our four platforms, SystemC/TLM simulation, RTL simulation, hardware emulation, and eventually on Silicon.
What you will do
• Upon netlist deliveries, perform Gate Level Simulation (GLS) on various types of netlists, also with timing annotations.
• Collaborate with system architects, developers etc. to identify the verification needs and specify software-driven tests.
• Develop tests in C and debug them, typically first on the TLM or RTL simulator and then make sure they also run in hardware emulation and on silicon.
• Contribute to keeping your tests clean in the CI regression running on our four run platforms.
Depending on your experience and preferences you might be involved in verification of:
• Clock and reset functionality.
• CDC, RDC, and X-Propagation
• Connectivity - potentially using formal methods and tools.
• Power intent and power scenarios
• Bandwidth/performance of the infrastructure, including mobile system timing requirements.
• ASIC Security, including boot scenarios.
• ASIC Silicon bring-up in the lab.
Skills you bring
• Several years of experience in GLS of large ASICs, including GLS with SDF-annotated timing.
• Experience in C programming, preferably in embedded software programming.
• Solid RTL debugging skills in SystemVerilog or VHDL designs.
• Scripting experience, particularly in Python and possibly TCL
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong drive for innovation, with a proactive interest in refining verification methodologies.
• Clear communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination across diverse teams.
