ASIC Validation Engineer – DC to RF mmW Test
The ASIC Validation Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and performance of ASIC designs. This position is integral to Tektronix’s strategy of delivering high-quality, precision-engineered measurement solutions. The role reports to the ASIC design engineering manager. **Responsibilities:** • Develop and execute physical validation plans for ASIC and associated reference designs. • Perform detailed analysis and debugging of ASIC designs. • Collaborate with design and verification teams to identify and resolve issues. • Utilize Vector Network Analyzers, Waveform Synthesizers, and built in self-test to validate and characterize RF and high-speed mixed signal circuits. • Create and maintain validation documentation and reports. • Automate validation processes to improve efficiency and coverage. • Support the development of test methodologies and validation strategies, including wafer probing, socketed and packaged part fixture specification and design. • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability and validation aspects. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. **Qualifications:** • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in ASIC validation or a related field. • Proficiency in using Vector Network Analyzers and similar equipment for RF and high-speed mixed signal circuit validation. • Strong understanding of ASIC design and verification processes. • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl, PCB and or/ ASIC CAD software, and requirements management software. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and teamwork abilities. • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in ASIC validation. **Fortive Corporation Overview** Fortive’s essential technology makes the world stronger, safer, and smarter.
