About the Role
 

LexisNexis Aspire is a transformative twelve-month program designed for fresh graduates in various fields of study. From the outset, you'll be integral to our team, collaborating with tech experts to build and launch innovative products. During this time, you'll partake in technical and soft-skill training, propelling your personal development and career launch. As a Data Engineer I, you will analyze complex datasets to generate insights and develop data-driven solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging company data. This will drive business solutions and enhance decision-making.
 

Responsibilities

Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of simple complexity.

Implementing development processes, adhering to coding best practices, and participating in code reviews.

Researching and implementing new data science techniques and technologies to improve processes.

Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and implement solutions to support their needs.

Building and maintaining data infrastructure to ensure reliable and timely access to data.

Troubleshooting and optimizing data processes to improve performance, reliability, and scalability

Documenting technical designs, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system integrity.


Requirements

Be studying Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Qualified Applicants should have completed their studies in 2023 or 2024 OR expect to finish between August 2024 and May 2025.

Be familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Demonstrate knowledge of data modeling, data manipulation languages, and database design principles.

Display proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

Be adept at problem-solving and analytical thinking in a data engineering context.
