**Job Title: Assembler - 1st Shift** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling gear reducers, gear motors, and other drive components using hand and power tools. This role involves performing quality checks and testing units to ensure they meet our high standards. You will work on both large, complex units and smaller, simpler units, providing a varied and engaging work experience. **Responsibilities** + Assemble gear reducers, gear motors, and other drive components following work orders. + Utilize hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, drills, and wrenches. + Perform quality checks and test units to ensure functionality. + Work on larger, more complex units as well as smaller, simpler units. + Maintain a clean and organized work station. + Collaborate with the Production Support team to ensure all necessary parts are available. **Essential Skills** + At least 6 months of assembly experience with larger parts. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times a day. + Capability to stand on feet for 8-10 hours a day. + Willingness to work mandatory overtime when required. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working on cars as a hobby is a plus. + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. + Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers wage increases every 6 months for the first two years, growth opportunities, and a strong focus on work-life balance. The facility recently underwent an expansion and includes a new automated paint line system. The environment is team-oriented and climate-controlled, although it can get warm during the summer months. Steel-toe shoes and safety glasses are required, and attire should be shorts or pants with no holes or tears. The noise level is moderate. The 1st shift runs from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential overtime shifts extending to 4:30-5 PM. Note that there is a no-smoking policy on site. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waunakee, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.32 - $21.93/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
