Position Summary: The Assembler is responsible for assembling and producing various types of filters. Performing such duties as stapling, applying wrap to pleats, capping, assembling tubes and springs, spot welding, seaming, spinning, spinning adhesive/plastisol, cutting media, wrap or other material as required. Applying gaskets and inspecting. May require tucking and filter repair, packaging and stacking of product. Second Shift Hours:Monday to Friday, 3:20pm – 1:40am (10 hours). Scheduled Saturday, 10:00am – 3:00pm. You can do it!) + Clean, Climate Controlled Facility Responsibilities: + Comply and prioritize all safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment as required. Also, actively contribute to the reporting of safety observations, and fosters a culture of safety awareness. + Assemble various types of filters and component parts to production specifications. + Fully understand and follow all manufacturing procedures and meet related requirements. + Complete necessary quality data and production reports. + May perform assigned production processes as required, including spinning; applying adhesive and/or plastisol to products or components; cutting media, wrap, or other materials; complete spot welding, debossing, and seaming on filters or components; minor filter repair; and packing and inspecting finished products. + Use basic computer functions for daily M.O.s and inventory adjustments. + Complete daily, weekly, or monthly inventories, as needed. + Complete first‑piece and in‑process inspections; secure supervisor and/or quality assistance to correct defects or deficiencies as they occur. + Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. + Actively participates in department problem solving, lean events and high-performance teams. + Participate in 5S and maintain a clean, safe work area. + Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: + Ability to work overtime hours as required by business need. + Must work in a safe manner observing all company procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety. Education and Experience: + Manufacturing experience is preferred. + High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Have the skill to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications and accurately use measuring instruments. + Have knowledge of basic math ( Perform arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals (add, subtract, multiply, divide)) to measure, record, and report production and quality data. + Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members to resolve issues, prioritize tasks, and work towards continuous production.
