Job Description
We are looking for a versatile and skilled General Production worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate various machinery, perform assembly tasks, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. This role requires cross-training in multiple areas including drill presses, shear presses, punch presses, straightening presses, torches, overhead cranes, forklifts, saws, and more.
ResponsibilitiesOperate punch press and other machinery.Perform assembly tasks as needed.Load and unload machines.Monitor machines to ensure products make it through the process.Maintain clean work areas.Perform housekeeping and special clean-up duties as assigned.Use hand and power tools.Operate overhead cranes to lift and move products.Essential SkillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Mechanical aptitude.Ability to read a tape measure.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience on punch presses.Metal fabrication experience.Experience using drill presses, benders, and saws.Familiarity with quality tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work in a machine shop environment with a variety of metal fabrication equipment. The role involves physical tasks including lifting metal plates weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing large bars into the bender. The facility is not temperature controlled, so it can get chilly in winter and warm in summer. The team consists of around 40 people, with an emphasis on finding the right fit for each employee based on their skills and preferences. Dress code includes long pants and long sleeves, and new hires will undergo a two-hour safety training and orientation on their first day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.25/hr.
