We have an outstanding Contract position for anAssemblerto join a leading Company located inCarson, CA. Pay Range: $18 - $20 **Assembler Level 1 $18/hr** **Assembler Level 2 $19/hr** **Assembler Level 3 $20/hr** Shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM Responsibilities : + Assembles aircraft interior structures and/or parts, such as bins, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, cargo liners, etc , and builds sub-assemblies for the completion of these structures and/or parts using engineering drawings and company and customer specifications + Adheres to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints & work orders + Document materials used in each process to maintain traceability + All employees are required to productively react to change and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future + May work at different workstations as production needs require + Provide training to other Production Associates as directed + Builds sub-assemblies of aircraft components, such as: + Forming of aluminum trim extrusions, fiberglass laminates, and other materials for completion of the sub-assemblies, parts, or structures + Fills and fairs areas as necessary per the established specification or customer limits + Installs inserts and applies edging material + Assembles sub-components for the structures/units + Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment during and after production + Perform other duties as assigned + General Notes: + Must carefully and safely handle raw material and manufactured parts to ensure the integrity and quality are not compromised by handling + All employees have an affirmative duty to protect and maintain the confidentiality of all company products + As business conditions change, it is necessary that all employees productively react and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future + Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at the division Basic Hiring Criteria : Level 1 Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent + Minimum 1-3 years of Electrical Assembly experience Level 2 Qualifications : + High school diploma or equivalent + Minimum 4-5 years of Electrical Assembly experience + Mid/Experienced level position within the field Desired Qualifications : + Requires little to no experience in discipline + Conducts routine tasks as directed + Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment + The ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance + Good hand/eye coordination is a must + Requires sensitivity to safety regulations and requirements + Must be able to self-inspect work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner + Must have knowledge/familiarity to operate basic machinery & various pneumatic/hand tools + Must meet or exceed current training requirements + Understand the concept of utilizing work orders + Ability to read engineering blueprints + Previous experience in Aerospace Manufacturing + Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Level 2 Desired Qualifications : + Requires some experience within discipline and solid working knowledge of the subject matter + Handles moderately complex issues and escalates more complex issues to higher-level staff + Performs work under general supervision with little latitude for independent judgment Benefits offered to vary by the contract.
