Production Supervisor
Your role and responsibilitiesAssembles and/or manufactures equipment following standard work, various technical drawings, process specifications, or verbal instructionsMust be able to work at any workstation and in any assigned cell areaMay be required to transport parts or equipment in and out of cell to other departmentsRecords production and quality data at the cell as requiredParticipates in kaizens and problem-solving sessions (kaizen events and continuous improvement activities)Readily recognizes quality defects in parts and subassembliesUnderstands and maintains work area under 6S guidelinesMay perform other related duties as assignedWill act as an assembly trainer once level of proficiency is reached
Qualifications for the roleHigh School diploma or equivalentAvailability to work in any shift 1st, 2nd or 3rd as needed by the businessAbility to read and comprehend English instructions, assembly drawings, and procedure manuals and carry out detailed written or oral instructionsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.Ability to operate a wide variety of small hand and power tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, soldiering Familiar with workmanship criteria and able to recognize quality defectsMust be able to work extended hours and weekends if required2-5 years manufacturing experience / equivalent technical background and or associate degree/certifications in a technical field from an accredited institution Ability to work in a dynamic environment developing skills to assemble electrification products across multiple linesCapable/willingness to train othersComputer skillsAbility to read wire schematicsCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
