**Description**
An assembler in our manufacturing company is responsible for putting together various components and subassemblies to produce our finished fabricated sheet metal products.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Accurately read and follow blueprint specifications to ensure correct assembly.
• Proficient use of hand tools in assembly processes.
• Use of overhead cranes and forklifts to move product throughout the assembly area.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing orders for supplies with internal purchasing department.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Fully participate and support the Metro Fab. Quality System.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00
