An assembler in our manufacturing company is responsible for putting together various components and subassemblies to produce our finished fabricated sheet metal products.\n\n•\tPrepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.\n•\tPositions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.\n•\tAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.\n•\tVerifies specifications by measuring completed component.\n•\tResolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.\n•\tAccurately read and follow blueprint specifications to ensure correct assembly.\n•\tProficient use of hand tools in assembly processes.\n•\tUse of overhead cranes and forklifts to move product throughout the assembly area.

•\tKeeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.\n•\tMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.\n•\tMaintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing orders for supplies with internal purchasing department.\n•\tConserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.\n•\tFully participate and support the Metro Fab. Quality System.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00
