Job Title: Assembler
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will produce, assemble, and inspect products in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring production and quality standards are met while minimizing scrap. This role involves moving materials, maintaining production records, performing machine setup and preventative maintenance, and ensuring all quality standards are met.

ResponsibilitiesProduce, assemble, and inspect products according to SOPs, meeting or exceeding production and quality standards.Move materials as required using various methods.Maintain records related to production, downtime, quality, and maintenance.Ensure quality standards are met by visually inspecting work and using measuring devices.Recognize and correct operating irregularities and machine malfunctions, or notify the appropriate person.Perform machine setup and preventative maintenance as required.Meet or exceed production requirements, or notify the Team Lead or Manager of any deviations.Work safely at all times, complying with safety regulations regarding protective equipment and devices.Keep the work area, equipment, and machines clean and orderly.Perform necessary computer transactions using various applications and software programs.Offer suggestions and assist in implementing improvements for productivity, process safety, and work environment.Perform other miscellaneous job assignments and related functions as directed by the Team Lead, Manager, or other designated person.Collaborate effectively as a team member to resolve problems.Essential SkillsRead, write, and speak English fluently.Strong interpersonal skills.Attention to detail.Experience with assembly, hand tools, production, and the use of hand and power tools.Ability to read drawings and assemble large metal items.Additional Skills & Qualifications3+ years of manufacturing experience.Dependability and a strong work ethic.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a clean, large metal production facility with heat provided in the winter and fans in the summer. The role requires standing on concrete floors all day. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime available on Fridays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.25 - $16.00/hr.
