Our client, a leader in precision cable manufacturing, is looking for a Cable Assembler to join their team in Lumberton Township, NJ. This role involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting cable components while ensuring quality and compliance with production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Read work orders, blueprints, and production drawings to determine assembly instructions.Wrap and tie wires to form harnesses and secure components using various techniques (crimping, soldering, bolting, etc.).Attach wire ends to components, connectors, or terminal strips.Insert cables into plastic tubing or apply plastic sealant around terminals.Use cable testing equipment to troubleshoot wiring issues.Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on assembly equipment.Mount and connect electrical components to printed circuits and chassis panels.Install finished assemblies or subassemblies into cases and cabinets.Follow company safety policies and quality management standards.Use small hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, and wrenches safely.

Requirements:

U.S. citizenship required due to contractual agreements with the U.S. Navy.High school diploma or GED; one year of cable assembly experience preferred.WHMA (Wire Harness Manufacturer’s Association) or J-STD 610/620 certifications strongly preferred.Experience with soldering, fiber optic assembly, wire marking, and electrical testing is a plus.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and quality procedures.Must be comfortable with physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Pay & Schedule:

Pay Rate: $19.00 – $20.00Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
