**JOB DESCRIPTION:** The Assembler will assist in the manufacturing of medical products by assembling various components using a variety of tools, fixtures, and test equipment. ****this is a 2nd shift postion, hours for this role are Monday-Thursday 3:30 pm-2 am **KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Perform assembly tasks while meeting productivity requirements and maintaining high product quality. + Perform visual inspection on each part as it is being assembled. + Use a variety of tools to assemble and/ or package products. + Supply accurate and legible documentation. + Understand and follow quality procedures every time. It is the employee’s responsibility to ask questions if they are not 100% clear on procedures. (*Always remember these procedures are in place to ensure the safety of the patients on whom these medical devices are used.) + Follow all guidelines and rules for working in a clean room environment. This includes following the gowning procedure, covering hair in a hairnet, and wearing personal protective equipment as appropriate. + Come to work with a positive attitude and focus on completing the task at hand. + Participate in 5S activities and follow 5S procedures + Demonstrates all of Flexan’s corporate values: + We have an engaged culture + We embrace the rigor to be safety and quality driven in all we do + We embrace the choice to work here + We operate with transparency, ethics, and integrity + We consistently meet our expectations **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred + Ability to problem-solve and think creatively + Ability to work collaboratively and independently on assigned duties + Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments. + Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in English. + Ability to understand and follow a set of clear oral and/or written procedures without deviation. + Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and supervisors/management. + Ability to pay close attention to detail. **Physical Demands** + The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch + The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. + The employee is frequently required to sit for extensive periods. + The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. + The employee is frequently required to use wrists, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive motion. + The employee is frequently required to see clearly when viewing objects at a close distance to discern visual defects in the part. **Work Environment:** + The employee is required to work in a clean room environment and is expected to follow the guidelines and rules for working in a clean room. This includes following the gowning procedure, covering hair in a hairnet, and wearing personal protective equipment as appropriate.
