JOB DESCRIPTION: The Assembler will assist in the manufacturing of medical products by assembling various components using a variety of tools, fixtures, and test equipment.

 

KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform assembly tasks while meeting productivity requirements and maintaining high product quality. Perform visual inspection on each part as it is being assembled. Use a variety of tools to assemble and/ or package products. Supply accurate and legible documentation. Understand and follow quality procedures every time. It is the employee’s responsibility to ask questions if they are not 100% clear on procedures. (*Always remember these procedures are in place to ensure the safety of the patients on whom these medical devices are used.) Follow all guidelines and rules for working in a clean room environment. This includes following the gowning procedure, covering hair in a hairnet, and wearing personal protective equipment as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred Ability to problem-solve and think creatively Ability to work collaboratively and independently on assigned duties Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments. Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to understand and follow a set of clear oral and/or written procedures without deviation. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and supervisors/management. Ability to pay close attention to detail.

 

Physical Demands

 

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to sit for extensive periods. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to use wrists, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive motion. The employee is frequently required to see clearly when viewing objects at a close distance to discern visual defects in the part.

 

 

Work Environment:

 

The employee is required to work in a clean room environment and is expected to follow the guidelines and rules for working in a clean room. This includes following the gowning procedure, covering hair in a hairnet, and wearing personal protective equipment as appropriate.
