Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a qualified Assembler to join our team. This individual performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, works from work instructions and uses hand and/or power tools and makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.

Essential Functions:

Follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructionsAssemble mechanical, optical, or electrical components and subassemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational, quality, and cosmetic requirementsContinuously perform visual inspections of materials for defects and conducts any range of functional tests and cleaning at prescribed intervals to ensure proper operation of various components during assemblyReport deviations from standard to appropriate resource for review, instruction and authorization and conducts quality inspection at specified intervalsPerform accurate data and record keepingMaintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety proceduresApply basic math skills to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, measurement, volume, and distanceWork with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesivesCultivate a culture that assures effective cross functional teamworkPerforms job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies, and proceduresDemonstrate ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company valuesComplete basic testing operations by loading units, starting test programs, and evaluating basic pass/fail criteriaParticipate in meetings and working groups to solve problems, communicate issues, obtain approvals, and maintains specific level of knowledge pertaining to new requirements or policies

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience in Assembly, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience in Assembly
