Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Assembler I - 2nd Shift. This position is based at our Indianapolis, IN location. The E-Reman Hourly employee is responsible for general labor assigned by the line supervisor. Duties focus on daily labor, running equipment, and following written instructions.
The hourly rate for this position is $19.24 per hour + $.50 shift differential.

What you’ll do:• Be a part of a Team that remanufactures mechatronic products utilizing various disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, assembly, and testing processes by following established work instructions.
• Be cross-trained and operate multiple assembly stations during a single shift.
• Adhere to all safety and quality procedures, and company policies and guidelines.
• Assist in on-the-job training for new employees.
• Perform work in a manner which supports Eaton’s Quality systems (ISO 9001), and Environmental system (ISO 14000).
• Inspect product for quality acceptance and perform quality checks. Work within quality and quantity standards.
• Work a reasonable amount of overtime, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) is required.
• No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Indianapolis, IN facility. (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation).
• Previous manufacturing assembly experience
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis from floor to waist. Periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs. from waist to shoulder.
• Able to stand for up to 9 hours, with scheduled breaks.
• Able to stand, twist, bend, squat and stoop.
• Maintain work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping and 5S efforts
• Perform lean activities and be involved in identifying process improvement through teams and systems (i.e. – Value Stream Mapping, 5S+, standardized work, TPM, RIEs)
• Perform minor and preventative maintenance in assigned workstations
