POSITION PROFILE 

The Assembler is responsible for making on the spot, quality judgments on conforming and non-conforming line products. This position supports all aspects of the metal coating process.

Focuses on performance, quality control, on-time and flexing.

Shows initiative, flexibility and the desire to assist fellow associates as the task at hand requires.

Takes ownership for all aspects pertaining to their current job assignment (safety, quality, output, etc.).

Performs all their duties in an open and objective manner, utilizing a “best practice” mindset to drive continuous improvement in all job-related functions.

Completes their job requirements in a manner that supports and promotes several key company work-life objectives (safety, quality, productivity, on-time order completion, etc.).

Completes all housekeeping of work areas to include cleaning floors, arranging hooks & pallets, empty recycling material, etc.

Required Skills:

Ability to conduct preventative maintenance on platherization system, pre-heat and cure ovens, cool-down tunnels.

Ability to interpret scheduling sheets and any other correspondence including paperwork for conforming and non-conforming parts. 

Ability to inspect parts for quality criteria and determine cause of action for non-conforming parts.                      

Ability to sand, scrap, and reorder non-conforming parts shortages.      

Ability to lift & carry heavy parts, pallets and returnable bins.     

Ability to keep up a fast pace when line hanging and unloading.

Ability to differentiate between colors and check quality of shades using approved color sample plates.

Ability to use paint measuring device, for quality, coverage and to record this on process sheets.

Ability to use scanner and printer and maintain them as well.

Required Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED), or work experience which demonstrates performance competency.
