Assembler II - 3rd Shift

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler II - 3rd Shift. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. The rate for this position is $21.25 plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. What you’ll do:

The Assembler II is primarily focused on assembly for our cable tray department and assisting the cable tray team as needed. The Assembler II will help with large part construction through assembly and will handle up to 50-pound parts and materials regularly. This role has the potential to advance within our cable tray department to various positions. 

 

In this function you will: 
•    Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components
•    Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices
•    Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams
•    Handle 50-pound parts to assist with large part construction with or without accommodation.
•    Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
     o    Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
     o    Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
     o    Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: 
•    Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
•    No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
