POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily production and assembly of micro titer plates for use with MSD instruments in compliance with standardized operating procedures and practices in a GMP/ISO manufacturing environment. This position supports manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, high throughput industrial setting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manual and/or automated assembly of plates
o Plate bottoms, top and adhesive assemblies
o Maintain lot-to-lot consistency in plate assembly
• Maintain inventory levels for intradepartmental use
• Equipment maintenance.
o Standardize equipment daily
o Maintain operation levels for all equipment
o Preventive maintenance/repair of equipment
• Preparation of materials
o Plate bottom cutting and testing (visual/electrical) for optimal performance
o Execute plate plasma treatments
o Execute plate (barcode) labeling
• Follow daily production task list to completion
• Team collaboration
• Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years experience in a related field
• Associate’s degree in Electronics or Mechanical disciplines
• Experience in an ISO environment is highly preferred
• A demonstrated level of consistency in performance and aptitude for managing additional responsibility and accountability are required for next level consideration
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to complete and review batch records accurately.
• Demonstrate an aptitude for learning and adhering to standard operating procedures and practices as presented
• Ability to complete daily production task lists within standard operating hours
• Demonstrated ability to work with automated equipment
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
o Effectively communicate issues/problems and results that impact timelines, accuracy and reliability of laboratory data
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the quantitative background to advance this knowledge on the job is expected.
• Ability to multi-task and work productively in a demanding manufacturing environment with changing priorities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• This position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Up to 80% of the day may be spent at a work station and/or in the cleanroom
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Standard industrial laboratory, logistics and/or cleanroom environment
COMPENSATION SUMMARY:
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $35,100 to $49,600. This salary range represents a general guideline as MSD considers other factors when presenting an offer of employment, such as scope and responsibilities of the position, external market factors, and the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience. Employees may qualify for a discretionary or non-discretionary bonus in addition to their base salary. These annual bonuses are intended to recognize individual performance and enable employees to benefit from the Company's overall success.
