**Pump Package Assembler III Houston (day shift - onsite)**

**_Peerless Pump, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos,_** is seeking a **Pump Package Assembler** to join its **Houston Production Team** .
The **Package Assembler** is responsible for the assembly of engineered fluid handling package systems for our customers in the commercial building, industrial, petrochemical and energy industries. This position reports directly to the Production Manager and will operate daily out of the **Houston** facility Monday-Thursday (occasionally Friday).
**_Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support._**

**What is the job about?**
**_Principal Duties and Responsibilities:_**
+ Follows oral or written instructions from manager and functional leaders
+ Assembles and aligns piping systems: Grooved pipe, flanged pipe and threaded pipe
+ Mounts mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
+ Fits, tack-welds, and assembles components into final product
+ Performs precision leveling and alignment of equipment
+ Moves materials, supplies, and tools to and from work areas
+ Directs rigging and moving of heavy equipment
+ Inspects own work and completes quality documentation as required
+ Performs preventative maintenance on equipment
+ Observes all safety programs and safety practices; Maintains a safe and clean work area
+ Perform work, promote teamwork and communicate in conjunction with our culture and corporate standards (Safety/Environmental, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Communication, Internal Controls, etc.).
**What do you need to apply?**
+ High school diploma, GED/HSE/HiSET or equivalent *required
+ 3-5 years related experience *much preferred
+ **_Competencies:_**
+ Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
+ Material handling equipment (Fork lift, pallet jack, etc.)
+ Cranes, hoist, screw jacks, hydraulic jacks
+ Basic Computer skills (MS Windows, Outlook, Internet)
+ Manual, power driven, and pneumatic hand tools, electronic engraver, Power saw, cutoff wheel, grinders, hydraulic press, radial drill, arbor press, and threading machine
+ Precision measuring instruments, gages, meters
+ Handbooks, charts, manuals, specification sheets, operation sheets, setup sheets.
**_Work conditions_**
+ This position requires the incumbent to stand for extended periods, frequently grasp tools, stoop, crouch, reach, stand, and walk when performing duties; twist and reach.
+ Specific vision abilities include close, distance and peripheral vision.
+ Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
+ Able to work in a non-climate controlled factory environment.
