Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Assembler to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals, and be a part of Payload and Ground Systems, Space Components division in our Commerce, CA, facility. Commerce is the leading supplier of pressure vessels and tank hardware to the aerospace industry.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Assembler performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Makes continuity checks on work in process. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. We are hiring for level 2 or 3. This position will be 1st shift.
Basic Requirements:
(Level 2) High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2+ years mechanical assembly experience(Level 3) High School Diploma or Equivalent with 6+ years mechanical assembly experienceAbility to read blue prints and technical drawingsMust be able to work with small hand tools and power toolsAbility to work with computer clocking software and electronic shop floor control systemsWork well in a team environmentWilling to support the business needs for additional hoursMust be able to lift 40lbsPreferred Requirements:
Must be able to operate overhead cranesAbility to obtain certification and drive a forkliftSalary Range: $42,000.00 - $70,000.00Salary Range 2: $50,000.00 - $83,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
