Job Description

Our client located in Ajax, Ontario is seeking an Assembly Coordinator/ Expeditor.

 

CGD certificate required

This will be a day shift position (100% onsite)

Pay rate: $24-$27/hr (37 hours per week)

Start date: ASAP (12 months contract)


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to Assembly Planning Manager, the successful individual working with the planning team, will be responsible to support and prioritize the recovery plans to the customers of assemblies. Track critical path items and liaison between all departments to ensure a robust plan is created and met to achieve best delivery date. Schedule and forecast work (in conjunction with the Assembly Program Planner) through the department ensuring sufficient capacity in equipment and personnel. Liaise with internal customers/suppliers i.e. shared services: Finance, Human Resources, and Quality etc. Supports the Planning team and Assembly Team Leader with analysis and communication on drop dead deliverables Liaise with other departments to ensure part availability for critical parts. Manages and support the updates the short-term Line of Balance for the various Programs: With Procurement / Machine Shop / PPMs if needed. For Critical path items Coordinates and supports, with Machine Shop planners, the expedite of critical parts to meet the Assembly schedule. Notify Program team of any schedule change or impacts to customers on Drop Dead Dates. Adhere to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture. Update/improve administrative and reporting tools in order to reduce non-value-added work On-Site attendance is required.

RequirementsMust possess excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to be proactive and innovative in approach. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office & SAP. Data Analysis and Organizational skills. Excellent Customer Service skills. Strong ability to manage deadlines. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
